Sorshe Bhetki Jhol Recipe 2021
Step 1: Make sure you wash the fish pieces well before starting out with the marination. Pat them dry and add them to a big bowl. Add Atithi turmeric powder, Atithi chili powder, Atithi Mustard Oil and salt according to the amount mentioned above.
Step 2: Cover the fish pieces well with the mixture and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.
Now, take a small bowl and add 2 tablespoon of mustard powder, a pinch of salt and 2 tablespoon of water to make a smooth paste. Set this aside for 8-10 minutes as well.
Step 3: Take a frying pan and heat some Atithi mustard oil in it. Once the oil is hot enough, arrange the marinated fish pieces into the pan and fry them lightly. Then put them aside onto a plate for now.
Step 4: Pour some more oil into the frying pan and add some chopped green chili.
Step 5: Then add chopped tomato and cook until they turn mushy.
Step 6: At this point, sprinkle some Atithi turmeric powder and Atithi chili powder as needed. Mix in the mustard paste that was set aside now.
Step 7: Add salt and pepper for taste and 2 cups of water and bring the entire gravy to a boil. Cover and let it simmer on low-to-medium heat for about 5 minutes.
Step 8: Now add the lightly fried Bhetki pieces into the boiling gravy. Cover again to let it all cook for 10 minutes on low-to-medium heat.
Step 9: Before turning off the flame, garnish by pouring some more Atithi Mustard Oil and adding finely chopped coriander leaves.
